Are you looking for more in-depth instruction and help honing your skills with handbuilt ceramics? Private lessons are perfect for anyone from a complete beginner to an intermediate level ceramic artist. All handbuilding topics will be covered from pinch, coil, to slab building techniques in addition to countless helpful tips and tricks for ceramics in general. Lessons will consist of (4) weeknight evening sessions, 2 hours long, each. Lesson topics will be catered to the desired outcome of the student: general instruction through specific project creation and execution. Come with your ideas and we will make them happen!

The first three lessons will focus on pottery construction and surface design. The last lesson will focus on glazing. Students will pick up their work from the studio 2-3 weeks after the last session, once their pieces have been fired.

• 10 pounds of clay will be provided

• Studio work space, use of all tools, firing, and glazes are included

• 2 firings of work included: 1 bisque, 1 glaze

• 4 weekly 2 hour sessions, over 4 weeks: Consecutive Wednesdays

• Daytime slot: 2 - 4pm or Evening slot: 6-8 pm (time window can be shifted slightly if desired - please get in touch to confirm timing details)

• A $45 materials fee will be charged at the beginning of the first session.
